Nubian Sisters Cancer Support Group (N.S.C.S.G.) is an organization whose core group are women of God. Therefore we believe that prayer and faith in God is essencial to the healing process.
While not limited to African Americans, the purpose of this group is to give support to women and families in the African American community. Our goal is to give support to cancer patients, cancer survivors, their families, and the families of those that succumbed to the disease (breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and cervical cancer, etc.).
We would like to enlighten, educate and make African American women aware of the many resources and agencies of help that are available to them. Our mission is to prepare women for what may lie ahead of them while trying to dispel some of the fears and myths about cancer. The Nubian Sisters Cancer Support Group will meet bi-monthly (the last week of the month).
